This Privacy Policy describes how FinDesk ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully.
1. Information We Collect
A. Data Stored Locally
FinDesk is designed with a privacy-first, local-first approach. All the personal and financial information you enter into the App is stored locally on your device using local databases (such as sqflite). We do not collect, transmit, or store your app-entered data on any centralized servers owned by us.
B. Google Sign-In and Cloud Backups
To provide you with the ability to safely back up and restore your local data, FinDesk uses Google Sign-In and Google Drive APIs.
- When you authenticate, we request access to your Google account identity strictly to authenticate you within the App.
- If you initiate a backup, the App requests permission to write and read its own specific backup files within your Google Drive account.
- We do not access, view, or store your files, emails, or personal data outside of the specific backups created by the App.
- This data transfer happens directly between your device and Google's servers.
C. Automatically Collected Information
The App may utilize third-party packages that automatically collect diagnostic information (such as crash reports or basic connectivity status) to ensure the App runs smoothly. This data does not contain personally identifiable financial information.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the service: Your local data is used solely by the App on your device to generate lists, summaries, and PDF documents as requested by you.
- To enable backups: Your Google Auth token is used strictly to grant the App the ability to perform secure cloud backups directly to your Google Drive.
- We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share any of your personal or financial data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Data Security
The security of your data is important to us. Because your primary data resides on your device, we strongly advise you to secure your device using screen locks (PIN, password, or biometrics). While we facilitate encrypted transit to Google Drive for backups, remember that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
4. Your Rights and Data Deletion
- Local Data: You can delete all your data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage data from your device settings.
- Cloud Data: You can delete your backups by navigating to your Google Drive and removing the backup files. You can also revoke FinDesk's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account Security Dashboard.

FinDesk is a financial / personal management tool designed to help you organize and manage your data locally. The App allows you to input data, generate and print PDFs, and back up your data using your personal Google account.
3. User Responsibilities
- Account Security: If you use Google Sign-In, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
- Accurate Information: You agree to use the App for lawful purposes and assume full responsibility for the data you enter, generate, and print (including PDFs).
- Data Loss: While we provide tools for cloud backup via Google, FinDesk is not liable for data loss due to device damage, uninstallation of the App, or failure to perform backups.
4. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of FinDesk (including but not limited to UI/UX, code, and graphical assets) are owned by the developer of FinDesk and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or completeness of the App. FinDesk does not provide professional financial or legal advice.
